No. 10 USC Swim Suffers First Loss of the Season Against No. 7 Cal

Senior Isa Odgers wins twice against Bears
Senior Isa Odgers won two events to lead the No. 10 USC women's swimming and diving team in their first loss of the season as they hosted No. 7 Cal on Friday (Jan. 28) at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
The Trojans fell to 4-1, 3-1 while Cal improves to 4-1, 4-0.
The Women of Troy opened the meet with a win in the 200y medley relay as Calypso Sheridan, Kaitlyn Dobler, Anicka Delgado and Laticia Transom posted a 1:37.66 for first.
Odgers had a stellar day of swims, winning both the 200y breast (2:09.90) and 200y IM (1:58.49). She was also third in the 100y breast (1:01.72). Junior Nicole Pavlopoulou was third in the 200y breast, touching in 2:14.32.
Trojan newcomer Caroline Pennington won the 1000y free in 9:52.55 and was second in the 500y free (4:52.58).
Sophomore Dobler claimed the 100y breast in 1:00.69 and contributed her talents in both relays.
Cal finished 1-2 in the final event of the evening, further solidifying their win after claiming the 400y free relay.
Tomorrow the Trojans hope to bounce back against No. 4 Stanford on senior day where five swimmers and one diver will be honored prior to the 11 a.m. meet at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
