Trojans Finish Fourth in 400y Medley Relay to Open Pac-12 Championships

USC's 400y medley relay finished fourth to open the 2020 Pac-12 Men's Swimming Championships in Federal Way, Wash., on Wednesday (March 4).

Troy, including the diving events from last week and two relays tonight, finished first Wednesday with 167 points. Stanford (163) is second, Arizona (159) third, Utah (134) fourth, Arizona State (81) in fifth and Cal (68) in sixth.

The session started with the Trojans' fifth place finish in the 800y free relay as sophomore Alexei Sancov, freshmen Dom Margarino, Max Saunders and Truls Wigdel hit the wall in 6:21.40, posting a season best time for USC.

In the 400y medley relay, USC finished fourth with Jack Kirby, Sean Ward, Sancov and Nikola Miljenic posting a 3:09.56.

Last week, both senior Henry Fusaro and freshman George Korovin earned spots on the podium. Fusaro finished third with 404.30 on men's 3-meter. Korovin was second on platform with 374.00.

The meet continues Thursday through Saturday with prelims at 11 a.m. each day and finals at 6 p.m.
