2020: Norwegian national teamer Truls Wigdel raced in three events at the 2020 Pac-12 Championships as a freshman, highlighted by a 32nd in the 200y free (1:38.49). He was also 37th in the 500y free (4:39.47) and 44th in the 100y free (45.60). He is taking a year off from USC to train for the upcoming Olympics.
NORWAY: Wigdel, who studied at at Madla Svommeklubb in Stavanger, Norway, owns part of Norway’s record in the 4x200m free relay, set at the 2016 European Championships, as well as part of the 4x100m mixed free relay, set at the same meet … He posted a 1:48.85 in the 200m free in April of 2018, breaking a Norwegian junior national record.
PERSONAL: He is majoring in biochemistry.
