Moritz Wesemann Earns First Team All-American Honors On 1-Meter Springboard

ATLANTA – The USC men's swimming and diving squad competed in the first full day of the NCAA Championships on Thursday.
Moritz Wesemann advanced to the first event final of the week for the Trojans on the 1-meter springboard. In the preliminary round, Wesemann posted a score of 406.85 to advance to the evening session. In the event final, Wesemann placed fifth and earned First Team All-American honors for the second consecutive year.
On the swimming side, Michal Chmielewski once again broke his program record in the 100y butterfly. The junior placed tenth with a new program best time of 44.42 to earn Second Team All-American honors.
In the 200y free, Oliver Sogaard-Andersen and Krzysztof Chmielewski placed 23rd and 43rd respectively.

The 800y freestyle relay squad of Sogaard-Andersen, Krzysztof Chmielewski, Vaggelis Makrygiannis and Ian Pickles placed 13th to claim Second Team All-American accolades.
