Three Women of Troy Earn All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention

As the Pac-12 Tournament approaches, USC has landed three Women of Troy on the All-Pac-12 honor roll. Senior Aliyah Mazyck has her second straight set of All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention accolades as well as her second spot on the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team, where she is again joined by teammate Minyon Moore. A junior, Minyon Moore also has picked up All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention for the first time. So, too, has senior Mariya Moore come through with her first Pac-12 honors, also weighing in with a place on the All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention list. Minyon Moore also has since snagged a place on the Pac-12 Media All-Pac-12 Team, while also joining Mazyck on the Pac-12 Media All-Defensive Team.

Senior guard Aliyah Mazyck leads the Trojans in scoring with 15.6 points per game after recently tallying a new career high with 30 points scored in a win over Colorado. A captain, Mazyck has hit double digits in 18 of the 23 games in which she's appeared this season. Along the way, Mazyck has also risen in the career ranks. She hit her 1,000th career point earlier in the season and has since climbed to No. 18 all-time at USC in career scoring. She's also No. 11 all-time in career steals. Already USC's record holder for single-season 3-pointers made, Mazyck has nailed 49 threes this season to up her place in the history books to No. 5 all-time career 3-pointers made. Known for her pesky defense, Mazyck is averaging 2.4 steals per game as she enters the postseason with her second All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention honors and back-to-back Pac-12 All-Defensive Team accolades. Mazyck also was selected to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Watch List earlier this season. Mazyck also earned herself a place on the Pac-12 Media All-Defensive Team.

Junior guard and captain Minyon Moore also now boasts a status as a two-time Pac-12 All-Defensive Team selection, while she's moved into the mix with All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention this season. Her all-around skill set has moved her into the top-10 in career assists (No. 5), steals (No. 10), free throws made (No. 6) and free-throw percentage (No. 9) while also moving up the career list in scoring as she's claimed her 1,000th career points this season to now stand at No. 22 all-time on that chart. Moore also leads the Trojans in rebounding, assists and steals per game in her junior season, averaging 5.7 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 2.6 steals per game to go along with her 15.1 points per game. In the nation, Moore ranks in the top-50 in eight statistical categories, topping out at No. 10 in the nation with her 6.1 assists per game. Moore has hit double digits in 23 games, with five double-doubles this season to up her career count to nine. Moore also landed herself a spot on the Pac-12 All-Pac-12 Team as well as the Pac-12 Media All-Defensive Team.

In her one season of action as a Trojan since transferring from Louisville, senior guard Mariya Moore is in the books with All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention. She's had two 30-point games as a Trojan, topping out with 36 points in a game at Cal, where she hit a program-record seven 3-pointers. She leads the team with 58 threes landed to date, including two daggers in the final 15 seconds of regulation en route to USC's overtime win over Utah last weekend. Moore is averaging 13.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game and has started all 29 of USC's games to date. She has hit double figures in 19 games. Also a team captain, Moore also was picked to the Naismith Trophy Watch List earlier this season.

This Trojan trio joins forces with the rest of the USC squad for action this week at the Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas. USC (17-12) opens up with a first-round matchup against Arizona at 2 p.m. on Thursday (March 7) at MGM Grand Arena.
