The Women of Troy hit the water for the first time in 2019 on Saturday morning (Feb. 9) as they scrimmaged the Loyola Marymount Lions in the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, Calif.
"Today was a great opportunity for both USC and LMU to get some very early season race pace work accomplished," said USC head coach Josh Adam. "It was also a good chance for both teams to interact and to get to know each other. That part was amazing. We learned a lot from today's pieces and are anxious to take these lessons back to practice."
Because this race was a scrimmage format, the Trojans did not compete in a full 2000m race. USC raced four boats: 1V8, 2V8, 1V4 and 2V4. Each boat raced three 1500m pieces and two 500m pieces.
Because this was a scrimmage, official times were not recorded. See below for today's boat lineups.
The Women of Troy now turn their attention to preparing for the Lake Las Vegas Regatta, which will take place on March 2 in Henderson, Nev.
