Redshirt freshman is the third Trojan to win the award.
Redshirt freshman guard Shalexxus Aaron exploded for 28 points in a key USC victory over Washington last week. Along the way, Aaron splashed six 3-pointers — second most ever in a single game by a Trojan — and has since secured her first career selection as the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week.
Aaron's outburst against the Huskies marked her second 20-point game as a Trojan, and in addition to her 28 points — second most on the team this season — she also notched another new career best with three steals and had four rebounds. Aaron went 10-of-14 from the floor, including her 6-of-10 outing from beyond the arc.
Aaron was one of five Pac-12 freshmen nominated for this week's award. Minyon Moore was the last USC freshman to be named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, picking it up twice in the 2016-17 season.
