September 19, 2018 | Women's Volleyball, Features
The Women of Troy had 15 kills from junior opposite hitter Emily Baptista in a 3-0 victory over UCLA
LOS ANGELES – The 14th-ranked USC women's volleyball team (9-3, 1-0 Pac-12) earned a 3-0 sweep (25-21, 25-8, 29-27) over crosstown rival No. 17 UCLA (5-3, 0-1) at the Galen Center on Wednesday, Sept. 19, to open Pac-12 play. The sweep is the Trojans' first over the Bruins since 2015 but UCLA's eight-point total in the second set is the fewest points a UCLA squad has scored against USC in the rally-scoring era. The Trojans ran their winning streak to four matches and 12 straight sets.
