The Women of Troy dropped their first home match of the season in a 3-0 loss to the Ducks
LOS ANGELES – The 12th-ranked USC women's volleyball team (12-5, 4-2 Pac-12) was swept (26-24, 25-22, 25-20) by No. 20 Oregon (11-5, 4-2) at Galen Center on Sunday, Oct. 7.

- Jr. OH Khalia Lanier led all players with 16 kills (4e, 43att, .279) to go with two service aces and a block.
- Sr. libero Victoria Garrick led all players with 19 digs and had two assists.
- So. OH Brooke Botkin collected 13 kills and had eight digs.
- Fr. setter Raquel Lázaro dished out 38 assists and had six digs and a kill.
- Jr. MB Jasmine Gross scored eight kills (4e, 15att, .267).
- For the Ducks, Ronika Stone and Taylor Borup each had 10 kills apiece. August Raskie put up 35 assists and had six digs and three kills. Lauren Page had seven kills and led all players with four blocks (two solo).
- The Women of Troy overcame a six-point hole in the first set and knotted the score at 24-all on Lanier's seventh kill of the frame, but a USC service error and a kill by Stone put the Ducks on top, 1-0, with a 26-24 win.
- The Trojans led by as many as four points in the second set, but this time, the Ducks flew back into the picture and scored the final three points on back-to-back kills by Stone and a service ace from Brooke Van Sickle.
- Oregon built a six-point lead in the third, but the Trojans shaved off all but two points at 19-17. The Ducks were too much down the stretch and held on to close out a 25-20 win for the sweep.Â
- USC remains at home to host Arizona State on Friday (Oct. 12) at 7 p.m. PT and Arizona on Sunday (Oct. 14) at 1 p.m.
- USC falls to 53-13 all-time against Oregon. Four of the Ducks' 13 wins have taken place at Galen Center.
- The Trojans fell to 5-1 at Galen Center this season and to 156-33 all-time in the arena.
- USC was swept for only the third time this season but for the first time at Galen Center since Nov. 25, 2017 (UCLA).
- Oregon was the ninth ranked opponent the Trojans have faced in 2018.
