USC Cross Country To Compete At UC Riverside Invitational Saturday

The USC women's cross country team will be back in action this weekend as they compete at the 37<sup>th</sup> annual UC Riverside Invitational held at the Ag/Ops Course in Riverside, Calif. on Saturday, Sept. 16. There will be both a 5K and 6K race, with USC running half the squad in each race. The 6K race will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K race at 8:40 a.m. Between the two women's races and the two men's races, there will be nearly 1,200 competitors and 72 universities represented. The Ag/Ops Course is 85 percent flat with a few rolling hills on hard packed dirt.<br />

"We are working on learning how to train and building a race plan and model that will serve us well in the future," said USC cross country coach Patrick Henner.<br />

Trojans expected to compete in the 6K race will be Julia Bounds, Amber Gore, Lauren Maurer, Madison Ricks, Sydney Tullai and Angel Vallier. Running for USC in the 5K race are expected to be Chloe Berry, Jennifer Daly, Mackenzie Ellison, Rachel Glynn, Mikaela Smith and Kamryn Weber.<br />

Trojan fans wanting to lend their support to the team can reach the Ag/Ops Course from the 215/60 freeway, exit Martin Luther King and go West. Turn left at the Canyon Crest traffic light and travel approximately 300 meters to the course entrance on the right. For parking in Lot 30, continue straight on Martin Luther King.
