USC Cross Country Closes Out Season at NCAA West Regionals

Four Trojans made their NCAA Regional debut

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The USC cross country team closed out their season Friday morning with a 38th place team finish in the women's 6K at the NCAA West Regional Championships.

Sydney Knodel led the Trojans in her last collegiate race, placing 163th with a time of 22:25.2.

Team captain Jacqueline Duarte followed, finishing with a time of 22:32.3 to take 175th place. Duarte improved significantly from her time of 23:59.6 at least year's NCAA West Regionals.

Haley Spoden came through the finish not too far after, securing 219th place with a time of 23:18.9.

Closing out the race for the Women of Troy were Paige Unger and Isabella Duarte, finishing with times of 24:59.3 and 25:36.4 for 259th and 261st place, respectively.

The regional marked the final collegiate race for seniors Sydney Knodel and Jacqueline Duarte, both of whom have made a strong impact on the team throughout the season.
