No. 10/No. 10 USC Returns Home To Face Lehigh

The No. 10/No. 10 USC Trojans (3-0) will host the Lehigh Mountain Hawks (3-1) at the Galen Center on Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. USC has won it last 20 nonconference home games. USC has started the season 3-0 for the third consecutive season, prior to that, USC had not gone 3-0 to start a campaign since the 2001 season.
USC RALLIES FOR WIN AT VANDERBILT -- USC trailed by 14 points in the first half, and by as many as 10 in the second half, before forging a 93-89 overtime victory at Vanderbilt on Nov. 19. Jordan McLaughlin keyed the comeback, scoring a career-high 35 points. He hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 80-all to send it to overtime, then scored the first five points in overtime on a three-pointer and layup and USC was never challenged in the extra frame. He and Chimezie Metu, who scored 23 points in the game, scored all 13 of the Trojans' overtime points. USC trailed 34-20 with 3:33 remaining in the first half, but finished the half on a 15-0 run, making five three-pointers while Vanderbilt turned it over four times.
BREAKING DOWN LEHIGH -- Lehigh (3-1) opened with an 84-76 overtime win at Marist on Nov. 11, followed by a 80-72 loss vs. Monmouth on Nov. 14, a 91-90 overtime win vs. Siena on Nov. 17 and a 95-70 win over Eastern on Nov. 19. Five Mountain Hawks players are averaging double figures in points, led by junior guard Lance Tejada at 15.8 points per game. Lehigh was 20-12 last season and finished second in the Patriot Legue. USC is 1-0 all-time against the Mountain Hawks, winning 76-49 on Dec. 23, 2010.
No. 16/No. 19 TEXAS A&M ON DECK -- USC will host No. 16/No. 19 Texas A&M (3-0) at the Galen Center on Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. The Aggies will also face Penn State in the Legends Classic championship game on Nov. 21 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and host Pepperdine on Nov. 24 before playing at USC. Texas A&M has wins over then-No. 11 West Virginia (88-65), UC Santa Barbara (84-65) and Okahoma State (72-55). Texas A&M has eight players averaging at least 6.7 points per game, led by junior forward D.J. Hogg at 20.3 points per game. Texas A&M returned eight letterman and four starters from last season's 16-15 team. USC won at Texas A&M 65-63 last season and leads the all-time series, 2-0.
COMEBACK KIDS AT IT AGAIN -- USC rallied from a 10-point deficit in the win vs. North Dakota State on Nov. 13 and from a 14-point hole in the victory at Vanderbilt on Nov. 19. USC led all NCAA teams during the 2016-17 season with 13 comebacks from 10 or more points down. USC also had 15 wins in games it trailed by nine or more points in the 2016-17 season.
USC KEEPS NONCONFERENCE ROAD WIN STREAK ALIVE -- USC's 93-89 overtime win at Vanderbilt on Nov. 19 extended its winning streak to seven games in nonconference road games. USC last lost on the road in nonconference play at Long Beach State on Dec. 19, 2013. Â
STEWART SCORES HIS 1,000TH CAREER POINT -- USC senior guard Elijah Stewart scored nine points at Vanderbilt on Nov. 19 to give him 1,006 career points scored. He entered the game with 997 career points and wasted little time in reaching the milestone. He scored USC's first four points of the game, the first two on free throws and then passed the century mark with a dunk. Stewart has made four three-pointers this season to give him 179 career three-point makes, tied for fourth on USC's all-time list with Gabe Pruitt. Desmon Farmer is third on USC's all-time three-point baskets made list with 203. Stewart has also played 105 consecutive games, the most of any player in the Pac-12.
USC's ROSTER FEATURES RARE PAIR OF 4-YEAR SENIORS - In senior guards Jordan McLaughlin and Elijah Stewart, USC has its first pair of four-year scholarship seniors since the 2004-05 season when it had five. The seniors on the 2004-05 roster were guards Derrick and Errick Craven, forward Nick Curtis, center Rory O'Neil and forward Gregg Guenther, who was at USC on a football scholarship.
