Former USC Assistant Jean Agee Dies

LOS ANGELES -- Jean Agee, an assistant coach on USC's 1983 and 1984 women's basketball NCAA championship teams, died on Friday (July 8) in Brea, Calif. She was 74.
Agee was a Women of Troy assistant for seven years (1978-84) under head coach Linda Sharp. During that time, USC went 163-53, finished fourth or better in conference play every year and advanced to postseason play six times. Among the players she coached were Cheryl Miller, Cynthia Cooper, Pam and Paula McGee and Rhonda Windham.
She graduated from Wyoming, where she played basketball.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanine, and son-in-law, John Arguello, of Utah, plus three grandchildren, Tyler, Allison and Sam, a great grandson, Boston, and two nieces.
She will be cremated and buried at sea.
A "Celebration of Life" reception will be held on Aug. 8 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Brea Glenbrook Club (1821 Greenbriar Ln., Brea, Calif. 92821-5922, 714-529-8002).
