WALNUT CREEK -- USC women's basketball junior Ebony Hoffman earned her second straight All-Pac-10 first team selection, Pac-10 commissioner Tom Hansen announced. The 2003 all-conference honorees were presented at the State Farm Pac-10 Women's Basketball Tournament kick-off banquet on Thursday evening.
In addition to Hoffman, the Women of Troy's Rometra Craig was named All-Pac-10 honorable mention and Meghan Gnekow earned Pac-10 All-Freshman team honorable mention accolades.
This is the third conference honor for Hoffman, who was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman team and the All-Pac-10 honorable mention team in 2001. This season she leads the team in both scoring and rebounding with 16.1 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. Her marks rank seventh and second, respectively, in the Pac-10.
In a vote of the 10 conference coaches, Washington junior guard Giuliana Mendiola was named the 2003 Player of the Year, Arizona's Shawntinice Polk was selected as Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and Tara VanDerveer of Stanford was named the Pac-10 Coach of the Year.
