USC to Play North Carolina in Maui Invitational Opener

Pairings were announced this week for the 1999 Maui Invitational and USC will face North Carolina on Monday (Nov. 22) at 4 p.m. (Hawaiian time) in the first round of the tournament hosted by Chaminade University at the Lahaina Civic Center in Maui, Hawaii.

The game against the Tar Heels will be televised live on ESPN. Other first round games include Chaminade vs. Purdue, Florida vs. Utah State and Georgetown vs. Memphis.

After three games in three days in Hawaii, USC returns to the mainland to play in the Wooden Classic against Duke on Saturday (Aug. 27) at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, Calif.
