Drew Burdette is in his first season (2017) as the volunteer assistant coach for the Women of Troy. Burdette was also the volunteer assistant coach for the University of South Carolina from 2011-13.

Following his time at South Carolina, Burdette served as the collegiate recruiting coordinator and as a head coach for Coast Volleyball Club in San Diego, Calif.

Burdette’s club coaching experience ranges from ages 12 through 17 with a fourth-place best finish with the Coast VBC 17-1 team at the 2017 Triple Crown NIT. He also helped the Coast 18-2 squad win the SCVA Vegas Classic Club Division title. As a staff member at Coast, Burdette was responsible for facilitating and assisting with the placement of club athletes into various collegiate programs. He also led various camps, clinics, lessons, and tryouts.

In addition to his coaching experience at the club level, Burdette served as an assistant coach for the Santa Fe Christian High School girls’ varsity team for two seasons (2016-17) and was the head coach of the La Jolla High School girls’ varsity team for three seasons (2014-16).

Burdette played for Pfeiffer University’s men’s volleyball team from 2009-11 and served as a captain. He was the first scholarship recruit for the Pfeiffer program and is the record holder for most solo blocks in a single match (five). Burdette is also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Solana Sports.
