Kaiser High School, Yasumi was a three-time champion at the 2024 Hawai’ii Long Course Senior Championships, winning the 100 LCM breaststroke, 200 LCM breaststroke, and 400 LCM IM … A runner-up in the 2024 K. Mark Takai Hawaiian State Championship in the 100y breaststroke and 200y IM … Clinched first in the 100 LCM and 200 LCM breaststroke at the 2023 Hawai’i Long Course State Championship.

PERSONAL: Born May 6, 2006 to parents Yoshio Yasumi and Ran Morimoto … Grandfather Mamoru Morimoto competed in the 800 meter dash at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, and held the Japanese national record in the event for 25 years.
