THIS SEASON: Allisen Corpuz, a Hawaii native who is a two-time All-American coming off of a first-team All-American campaign in 2020, has 32 career starts as she returns as a fifth-year senior graduate for 2021. As of March 2021, she was ranked No. 15 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
SO FAR IN 2021: Corpuz opened her fifth-year senior season with wins at the Lamkin San Diego Invitational (2-under 214) and at The Gold Rush (10-under 206), sandwiching a third-place at the Sun Devil Winter Classic (3-under 213), helping lead the Trojans to team wins in all three events … She is the first Trojan to win twice in a season since 2018-19, is the first to open her season with three straight top 3 finishes since Jennifer Song in 2009-10 and was the first Trojan to open with six straight top 4 finishes since Candie Kung in 1991 … Corpuz opened with eight rounds under par in nine outings, including six in a row, and has three rounds under 70. She now has 16 career rounds in the 60s, fourth-most on USC’s career chart ... Corpuz was among six Trojans invited to play in the 2021 Augusta National Women's Amateur, which marks her third invite to the event, and made the cut for the second time, tying for 13th ... She was also among the handful of players invited to a January 2021 Curtis Cup practice session. She was invited to the late 2019 session, too, before the 2020 event was canceled.
2020: Corpuz earned 2020 Golfweek and WGCA All-American first team honors as a true senior after leading USC with a career-best four top 7 finishes and five in the top 11 in the shortened season … She also earned 2020 WGCA All-American Scholar plaudits (minimum 3.50 GPA) and was named to the 2020 Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll … Corpuz topped USC with a 71.57 stroke average, the fifth-best in program history. Her team-high-tying four rounds in the 60s gave her 10 for her career, joining a tie for 10th-most in program history while she finished the season with a 72.96 career stroke average, 12th-best in program history … Corpuz's second-place at the Rebel Beach Intercollegiate at 7-under 209 (71-69-69) was her best finish in a 54-hole event. She tied for third at the Windy City Collegiate Championship at 6-under 2010 (70-70-70) and took fourth at the Stanford Intercollegiate at 4-under 209 (70-70-69). Her other top 7 was a tie for seventh at the Pac-12 Preview at 4-under 215 (70-71-74) on the par 73 course … She had team highs of 13 rounds under par on the season and 14 rounds of par or better. Finishing the season ranked No. 10 by Golfweek.com, she registered an impressive streak of nine straight rounds of par or better spanning the four fall events … Her off-season included a finalist appearance at the 118th Women’s North and South Amateur Championship, where she finished as runner-up after falling in the first playoff hole to Wake Forest’s Rachel Keuhn … At the U.S. Amateur, Corpuz reached match play for the fourth time in her career before bowing out in the Round of 64 … She represented Team USA at the 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup in December, going 2-1 in her matches.
2019: Corpuz was a seven-time starter on USC’s top-ranked team as a 2019 junior, helping the Trojans to Pac-12 and NCAA Regional titles while earning All-Pac-12 honorable mention honors … Corpuz, who also played last season in the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur Championship, finished with a 73.50 stroke average, two top 7 finishes and five top 22 results while posting a pair of rounds under 70 … She also started in USC wins at the Clover Cup and the Windy City Collegiate … Corpuz finished a season-best fifth at the Pac-12 Championships at 1-over 214 (73-69-71), one event after turning in a then-season-best seventh as an individual entry at the PING/ASU at a USC-career-best 4-under 212 (71-71-70). Her next best finish was at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, tying for 13th at 6-over 219 (77-69-73) … Corpuz earned Pac-12 All-Academic second team honors (for the second year in a row) with a 3.60 GPA … Corpuz joined teammates Alyaa Abdulghany and Jennifer Chang at the first-ever Augusta National Women's Amateur Championship, the trio earning their berths by being among the top 30 Americans based on the Women's World Amateur Golf Rankings end of the year results. The international field consisted of 72 golfers competing over 54 holes of stroke play, with a cut after two rounds. Corpuz made the 36-hole cut at 3-over 147 (75-72) and ultimately tied for 17th at 3-over 219 (75-72-72). She made the cut after being part of an 11-woman playoff to eliminate one golfer, making a tap-in par on the first playoff hole to clinch her spot in the final 30-woman field ... Corpuz's summer was topped by her play at the North & South Amateur Championship, where she reached the quarterfinals after finishing as medalist in stroke play at 3-under 139 ... Corpuz reached the round of 16 at the U.S. Women's Amateur and tied for 32nd at the Canadian Women's Amateur Championship.
2018: Corpuz claimed WGCA All-American and All-Pac-12 honorable mention notice as a 2018 sophomore, finishing second on the squad in stroke average (73.00) as one of two players to play in every round during the season. Corpuz, whose four rounds in the 60s tied with Chang for most on the team, finished the season with four top 10 results, eight top 17 finishes, including a spring streak of six in a row, and finished tied for 27th or better in 11 of 12 outings … She had 10 rounds under par and 14 rounds of par or better … Corpuz had a dominant performance in USC’s win at the SDSU March Mayhem, finishing first in the single round of stroke play at 4-under 68 followed by a trio of match play wins, defeating Cal’s Maria Herraez, 4&3, Northwestern’s Janet Mao, 5&3, and Texas’ Emilee Hoffman, 2&1 … That followed a pair of fourth-place ties at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate at 2-under 214 (70-74-70) and at the windy Bruin Wave Invitational at 8-over 224 (73-77-74) … She led all USC golfers at the 2018 Pac-12 Championships with a tie for seventh at 1-under 215 (69-71-75) and tied for 11th at the NCAA Madison Regional, also at 1-under 215 (69-72-74) … She tied for 27th at the 2018 NCAA Championships at 5-over 293 (72-74-74-73) before an NCAA quarterfinal all-square result through 20 holes against Duke’s Virginia Elena Carta and a 3&1 semifinal loss to Alabama’s Cheyenne Knight … She fired a season-best 67 at the Silverado Showdown en route to a tie for 15th …Corpuz’s 2018 summer was highlighted by a quarterfinal appearances at the 2018 Western Amateur and the 2018 North & South Amateur, a tie for third at the 2018 Canadian Women’s Amateur at 4-under 275 (70-70-68-67) and a first-round match play appearance at the 2018 U.S. Women’s Amateur.
2017: Corpuz started six times as a 2017 freshman and posted a 73.69 stroke average in 16 rounds and played in 10 match play matches, finishing 7-2-1 … She had a pair of top 20 finishes, including a tie for 13th at the Pac-12 Preview at 3-over 222 (70-79-73) and tied for 16th at the Windy City Collegiate at 1-over 217 (72-70-75). She was 24th at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge at 6-over 219 (71-75-73) … She went 3-0-1 in four match play matches in USC’s title at the SDSU March Mayhem and won all three of her matches at the Great 8 Gifford Match Play … Among her results after the season was a tie for 32nd at the Canadian Women’s Amateur.
HIGH SCHOOL: Corpuz prepped at Punahou School in Honolulu, where she was a three-time AJGA All-American. Her amateur success, however, dates back well before high school as she was the youngest ever competitor in a USGA Championship when she played at the 2008 Women's Amateur Public Links at the age of 10 years, 3 months ... Her 2016 senior year included an AJGA win at the Winn Gripps Heather Farr as well as a win at the Hawaii state championship in which she outlasted her senior prep teammate on the fourth playoff hole. Corpuz also played as an amateur at the LPGA's Lotte Championship at Ko Olina and carded a second-round 72, but missed the cut by three strokes ... She has played in six USGA Championships in all, the second most ever, and posted nine top 10 finishes in AJGA majors to go with more than 15 Top 5 AJGA results. She won the 2014 Hawaii State Open, represented Hawaii in the 2014 Asia Pacific Junior Cup and represented the `West' team at 2012 AJGA Wyndham Cup.
PERSONAL: Corpuz, born March 20, 1998, is currently completing her Masters in Global Supply Chain Management and a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics as well as earning a Graduate Certificate in Sustainability and Business. This, after earning her undergraduate degree in business administration.
