Selected as the 2022 Metro League Defensive Player of the Year... Attended Eastside Catholic High in 2019-20, earning All-State honors from AP and Seattle Times... Named 2020 3A Metro League MVP and Scorebook Live Freshman of the Year... Also selected to Scorebook Live 2020 Washington 3A All-State team.... Malia Simone Samuels was born Oct. 28, 2004 in Seattle.... The daughter of Shaun and Saroun Samuels... Has two siblings: Zuri and Thai... Enjoys hanging out with friends, sneaker shopping and taking pictures in her free time... Hopes to travel to Bora Bora... Would like to play professionally after graduation and then work in the NBA or become a coach... Majoring in business.
