HIGH SCHOOL
White was ranked as the No. 61 center in the nation out of Hickory Grove Baptist Christian School in Charlotte, N.C.... Was a nominee for McDonald[apos]s All-America honors... A three-time all-state selection and five-time all-conference honoree... A four-time all-Mecklenburg honoree by the Charlotte Observer and three-time weekly Super Team selection... Finished her Hickory Grove career as the school[apos]s all-time leader among boys and girls in scoring, rebounding, blocks and triple-doubles... Was student body vice president... Won three state championships playing club with NC Flight.
PERSONAL
Lauren Charisse White was born April 28, 1992 in Charlotte, N.C.... The daughter of Darryl and Risa... Has two brothers, Darryl Bailey and Kriss Arnold... Her father and brother Kriss both played collegiate basketball... Enjoys reading and participating in mission work and community service in her free time... Lists Maya Moore as her biggest sports hero... Has always wanted to dunk and would like to skydive... Hopes to visit Spain, Japan, Italy and New York... Involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Athletes in Action... Majoring in communications, would like to pursue a career in sports journalism or broadcasting.
