Terese Cannon is a graduate student and team captain in her final season of eligibility on the USC beach volleyball team.
2018
As a senior, Cannon went 31-9 overall… Pac-12 All-Conference first team choice… Pac-12 All-Academic second team… Pac-12 Pair of the Week (Feb. 27) with Abril Bustamante… produced a 5-2 record at the No. 1 position with Bustamante… teamed primarily with Sammy Slater and went 20-7 at court two and 6-0 at court three… delivered the clinching point in six duals… won 13 straight matches between March 11-31.
2017
As a junior, Cannon produced a 42-10 overall record and went 33-6 in duals… named to the Pac-12 All-Conference second team and the Pac-12 All-Academic second team… selected with partner Nicolette Martin as the Pac-12 Pair of the Week from the No. 3 position for the week of March 28… paired primarily with Martin and went 41-10 overall with a 24-5 mark at the No. 3 position… scored the final kill in USC’s NCAA championship match against Pepperdine to clinch the title for the Trojans.
2016
As a sophomore transfer, Cannon posted a 15-3 overall record in her first season on the beach… played exclusively with Katrina Kernochan at the No. 5 spot various times throughout the season and finished with a 4-0 record in dual matches… appeared in the Hawai’i Invitational bronze finals and the Aloha Invitational finals with Kernochan… took third place in the bronze bracket at the USAV Beach Collegiate Challenge.
GEORGETOWN
As a freshman at Georgetown in 2014, Cannon was a starting outside hitter named to the Big East All-Conference Second Team… played in all 31 matches, starting in 25 and playing 105 sets for the Hoyas… led the team with 319 kills (3.04 kps)… had a season high of 29 kills against DePaul (Oct. 4) and had 15 matches with at least 10 kills… led team with 355 points (3.38 pps)… finished with six service aces, 54 blocks (third on the team), and 110 digs, with a season high of 11 digs against Xavier (Nov. 8)

Cannon was a four-year letterwinner and starter at Our Lady of Mercy in Pittsford, N.Y.… a two-time runner-up for the New York Gatorade Player of the Year… a 2014 PrepVolleyball.com Senior Ace and to the 2012 Sophomore 79… named a National High School Junior of the Year finalist… selected to the 2012 Volleyball Magazine All-America First Team… helped lead her high school to the 2012 NYSPHSAA State AA Championship and finals appearances in 2011 and 2013… a three-time selection to the NYS Championship All-Tournament Team, including being named 2012 Tournament MVP… three-time New York All-State Selection (First Team in 2011, ’13; Second Team in 2012)… one of eight student-athletes nationally selected as a 2014 Academic All-American… served as vice president of the National Honors Society as a senior at Mercy HS… won the Entrepreneurship Award as a junior, the Finance Award as a sophomore, and was a four-time NYS Scholar-Athlete… played four years for Paradigm Volleyball Club… member of the USA High Performance Women’s Junior Continental Team in 2012.

Terese Mary Cannon was born on Oct. 1, 1995, in Rochester, N.Y.… parents are Jim and Mary Cannon… father Jim played basketball at John Carroll University… has two sisters Maryn (a twin) and Hannah… completed her bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2018 and is now in the masters of accounting program at the USC Leventhal School of Accounting.
