HIGH SCHOOL: Ctvrtlik was a two-time all-league first team selection out of Wilson High in Long Beach, Calif.... Also named to the All-CIF Second Team as a junior and senior... Picked to the 2013 Press Telegram Dream Team First Team as a senior... Won the 2011 CIF Division II championship in sophomore season and reached the final as a junior... Played club for Shore Aquatics and Newport WPC... An honor student.
PERSONAL: Ctvrtlik is majoring in policy, planning & development... Parents are Jeffrey and Joyce... Has two sisters, Jessica and Katelyn... His grandfather Josef Ctvrtlik also attended USC... His uncle Bob Ctvrtlik is a three-time Olympian for the USA volleyball, with gold and bronze medals won in 1988 and 1992, respectively... His grandfather George Van Zant played football at Fresno State... Has always wanted to ride a 50-foot wave... Enjoys lifeguarding in his free time... Also enjoys playing guitar and basketball and going skiing... Lists Kobe Bryant as his biggest sports hero... Born July 13, 1995.
