His Santa Monica Beach Club team won a bronze medal in the Open 16 division of the 2013 Junior Olympics and a silver in the Open 14s at the 2011 Junior Olympics ... He also teamed with current Trojan Matt Douglas to win a gold medal in the Under 14 division of the 2011 AAU National Beach Volleyball Championships ... His father, Scott Cook, played volleyball at USC in 1986, helping the Trojans to a runner-up finish at the NCAA Championship after posting a 27-2 overall record and a 20-0 mark while winning the conference ... His uncle is Chris Lewis, a 3-time (1976-78) All-American tennis player at USC who won the 1977 NCAA doubles crown (with Bruce Manson) and was a member of Troy’s 1976 NCAA championship squad ....
