THIS SEASON: Chris Partin, a 2009 sophomore, will continue to contribute in the middle distance and distance freestyle events for the Trojans.
2008: As a 2008 freshman, Partin raced in three events at the Pac-10 Championships, finishing 13th in the 1650y free (16:04.75), 20th in the 500y free (4:38.88) and 30th in the 200y free (1:45.62).
HIGH SCHOOL: Partin was a prep All-American in the 500y free at Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose, Calif. ... As a senior, he was sixth in the 500y free in the Central Coast Section and seventh in the 200y free ... He also was his school[apos]s top cross country runner ... He was an Academic All-American, was an AP Scholar and earned the Presidential Scholar Award.
CLUB: Cabrillo Threshers.
PERSONAL: He was born on Sept. 9, 1989 ... He is an international relations major.
