THIS SEASON: David Kim is a 2017 senior who provides good depth for the Trojans and can be counted on for solid play when called upon.
2016: Kim saw action in two events as a 2016 junior, finishing 64th at the Farms Collegiate Invitational and tying for 67th at the Western Intercollegiate.
2015: Kim transferred to USC in the spring of 2015 but did not see action, redshirting.
LLINOIS: Kim, as a 2014 sophomore at Illinois, ranked fifth on the team with a 73.77 stroke average, including a low round of 68 (-4) at Louisiana Classics and a low 54-hole score of 208 (-2) at The Macdonald Cup ... He had two top 10 finishes and four in the top 25 and posted 10 rounds under par ... Illinois counted 70.97 percent of his rounds (22 of 31) on the season ... He finished third at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate with a 1-over 214 and tied for eighth at The Macdonald Cup with a 208 (-2) ... He reached the match play round at the 2011 U.S. Amateur and was runner-up at the 2012 L.A. City Junior Championship after losing in a playoff ... He posted seven top 15 finishes in AJGA events ...
