BREAKDOWN:
Jordan Cameron, a 6-foot-5, 220-pound redshirt junior forward, is skilled from the outside and tough on the boards. Joined the Trojans the second semester last season after spending the first semester with the football team.
2008-09:
Joined USC[apos]s basketball team in the second semester after spending the Fall as a wide receiver on the football team (he saw brief action in six games, but did not have a catch). Played in his first game for USC on the hardwood vs. California on Jan. 31. Grabbed a rebound in the game vs. Oregon State on March 7. Played a total of four minutes in three games.
BEFORE USC:
Played tight end at Ventura JC in 2007-08. Prior to that, redshirted as a freshman forward on the basketball at BYU during the 2006-07 season.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Cameron averaged 21.1 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game as a senior at Newbury Park HS in Newbury Park, Calif.
PERSONAL:
Cameron was born on Aug. 7, 1988. He is a Social Sciences and History major at USC. His sister Brynn played on USC[apos]s women[apos]s basketball team and is the school[apos]s all-time leader in three-point baskets.
