2014: Neyer will serve as a reserve walk-on senior quarterback in 2014.
2013:Neyer, who spent the 2010 and 2011 seasons as a walk-on quarterback at USC before moving on briefly to Los Angeles Pierce Junior College and Idaho, returned to USC in the fall of 2013 as a junior walk-on reserve quarterback. He did not see any action in 2013.
IDAHO: He participated in 2013 spring practice at Idaho.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: He spent the fall of 2012 as a sophomore backup quarterback at Los Angeles Pierce Junior College after transferring from USC. He completed 32-of-65 passes (49.2%) for 422 yards with 2 TDs and 3 interceptions while appearing in 7 games. Pierce was 9-2 in 2012 and won the Patriotic Bowl. Current Trojan Gerald Bowman also attended Los Angeles Pierce.
USC: He was a walk-on quarterback as a redshirt freshman in 2011. He appeared in 1 game (Washington) for 1 snap as a wideout. He joined the USC team in the fall of 2010 as a first-year freshman walk-on quarterback, but he did not see any action in 2010.
HIGH SCHOOL: He completed 99-of-191 passes (51.8%) for 1,466 yards, 19 TDs and 12 interceptions, plus ran for 115 yards with 4 TDs, as a senior quarterback in 2009 at Xavier College Prep in Palm Desert (Calif.). He also had 68 tackles and 2 interceptions as a linebacker and punted 23 times in 2009.
He did not play as a 2008 junior.
As a 2007 sophomore, he played 8-man football at Desert Christian School in Bermuda Dunes (Calif.).
PERSONAL: He is a communication major at USC. In the spring of 2014, he organized 'Spring to Action' to expose local youngsters to USC through student-athlete-led tours, talks and sport clinics.
