BREAKDOWN: Freshman Isaiah Collier is a 6-5, 210-pound point guard who is an excellent playmaker with exemplary court-vision, speed and toughness which leads to him being an elite player on both ends of the court. Collier comes to USC as the No. 1 ranked recruit in the nation in the 2023 recruiting class.
HIGH SCHOOL: Collier is a 2023 graduate from Wheeler High in Marietta, Ga. The consensus No. 1 national recruit was a three-time Georgia (GHSA) state champion and averaged 19.6 points, 6.8 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game as a senior at Wheeler. He was named the 2023 Georgia Mr. Basketball. The five-star recruit was named a McDonald’s All-American and was named co-MVP of the McDonald’s All-American game in Houston, Texas as he scored a game-high 25 points. The accolades were many in 2023 as he was named Naismith Boys High School Player of the Year, Gatorade Georgia Player of the Year, and MaxPreps Player of the Year. He was selected to play for Team USA at the Nike Hoop Summit and helped lead USA to a 90-84 victory over the World Team by scoring 11 points, dishing out three assists and making two steals. He was also the 2022 Stephen Curry Camp MVP and the 2022 Under Armour Next Elite 24 MVP as he hit the game-winning shot. During the spring of his junior season, Collier averaged 17.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.5 assists on the Nike EYBL circuit for The Skill Factory grassroots program, shooting 57.1 percent from inside the arc and 44.8 percent from three-point range. As a junior in high school, he averaged 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
PERSONAL: Isaiah was born on October 8, 2004 in Atlanta...His parents are Chandra and Dwain Collier and he has two siblings, Ameer and Kayla..His uncle Benard Smith attended USC...He is majoring in Public Relations and Advertising at USC.
