He made 21 appearances as a junior with a 1-4 record and a 3.97 ERA with nine saves...in 22 2/3 innings, he allowed 20 hits and 10 earned runs with 15 walks and 29 strikeouts...earned the win in the season finale (UNI[apos]s final game before being disbanded) with an inning of work on May 16 against Bradley...earned a save on April 11 at Creighton with 1 2/3 no-hit innings with a walk and a strikeout...threw an inning of relief on April 1 for the save at Minnesota in the Metrodome (the second time he got a save at Minnesota)...his first save at Minnesota came on March 4 with one inning, striking out two......drafted in the 2009 MLB draft in the 18th round by the San Diego Padres. 2008 (Northern Iowa)
