USC Men’s Golf Prepped for NCAA Winston-Salem Regional
May 17, 2026 | Men's Golf
The Trojans will attempt to qualify for the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2019.
BERMUDA RUN, N.C. — Making back-to-back NCAA Regional appearances for the first time in three years, the USC Men's Golf Team will attempt to qualify for the NCAA Championships at the Winston-Salem Regional, hosted by Wake Forest University at the Bermuda Run Golf Club in Bermuda Run, N.C. from May 18-20.
Over the course of three days, USC will square off against 13 other teams at the par-71, 7,013-yard course. After 54 holes of play, the top five teams and the top individual from a non-qualifying team will advance to the NCAA Championships, held once again at the Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif. from May 28-June 3. All rounds will be livestreamed via Babygrande Golf, albeit behind a paywall. Live scoring and live stream links can be found on the men's golf team's schedule page on usctrojans.com.
The Trojans, who are the 5-seed in the region, are aiming for their first NCAA Championship appearance since 2019. Last season, USC was six strokes away from advancing to the final site at the Tallahassee Regional. Jack Buchanan, Jaden Dumdumaya and Antonio Safa were all in the lineup on that team.
This year's Winston-Salem Regional includes five top 25 teams, including No. 3 Virginia, No. 10 Ole Miss, No. 15 Pepperdine and No. 22 Georgia Tech. Wake Forest is the 6-seed with home-course advantage, while fellow Power-4 schools Houston, Kentucky, Mississippi State and NC State round out the field. The Trojans have already competed against five of the schools in the regional.
USC is coming off a fifth-place finish at the Big Ten Championships, which saw Dumdumaya and Buchanan place inside the top three. The Trojans have won two of their last three tournaments coming into the regional, and their four wins on the season are the second most in the regional, trailing Virginia, which has five.

HEAR FROM THE LINEUP:
Sophomore Jack Buchanan: "It's a really good field at regionals, which we need to make through in order to play at the national championships. I've been playing okay, so I just want to finish out the year on a high note at these last two tournaments."
Sophomore Jaden Dumdumaya: "We just missed out on NCAAs last year. We thought we had a good chance at it, and we put in a lot of effort into it. So we came into this tournament with the same mindset we've had all year. We've been playing super well all year and we're continuing to keep on grinding."
Graduate Senior Luke Stock: "The course is a little different than what we're used to. There's a lot of Bermuda grass and it's pretty grainy. But it's all out there in front of you. If you can read the grain right and the greens, then hole some putts, you can go pretty low out here. The greens are pretty soft, so you can play aggressively.
Senior Antonio Safa: "The two keys to this week are you need to be precise off the tee, and putting. These greens are a bit tricky, so whoever putts the best will have a great week. It would mean the world to me to have a great week here and then make it to my first nationals would be awesome."
Junior Nicolas Dominguez: "All of us know that we're playing well. Coming out of Big Tens, we didn't play our best but we still finished in fifth. If we do what we know how to do, we should be in good shape."
