ATLANTA — USC freshman guard Jazzy Davidson has been named to the 2026 Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Women's College Player of the Year Late-Season Team, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced Tuesday (Feb. 17). Davidson is one of just two freshmen nationally selected to the prestigious late-season list.
The honor further elevates what has already been a historic debut season for the Trojan guard, who continues to establish herself as one of the nation's most complete rookie players.
Just yesterday, Davidson earned her third consecutive and sixth overall Big Ten Freshman of the Week award, becoming one of the most decorated freshmen in the conference this season. She powered USC to a conference victory over Indiana on Thursday, Feb. 12, recording a team-high 24 points while playing all 40 minutes, adding six rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks. Davidson also knocked down a career-high eight free throws and accounted for 30 of USC's 79 points in the win (including six points generated off her assists).
The freshman has scored in double figures 24 times this season, including 22 consecutive games since Nov. 18, 2025. Davidson's 24-point effort against Indiana also represented her 10th 20-point game of the year.
On the season, Davidson leads USC in points per game (17.2), rebounds per game (6.3), assists per game (4.4), steals per game (1.9) and blocks per game (2.2), showcasing her impact on both ends of the floor. She also tops the Trojans in minutes played (34:20), free throws made (2.4), free throw attempts (3.1), field goals made (6.6) and field goal attempts (16.7) per game.
Nationally, the freshman is 15th in blocks per game (2.20) and 18th in blocks (55). Davidson is also 12th nationally and second amongst Division I freshmen in field goal attempts (417).
Already this season, Davidson has been named to the Wooden Award Midseason Watch List, the Naismith Trophy Watch List and the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Watch List. With her inclusion on the Naismith Trophy Late-Season Team, Davidson continues to cement her place among the nation's elite and as a driving force behind USC's recent success.
Davidson and the Trojans return to the Galen Center on Thursday, Feb. 19 to host Wisconsin at 6 p.m. PT.
