No. 2 USC Women's Golf Begins Spring Season at the Battle of LA

The Trojans are looking for their third consecutive match play win over their archrivals.
LOS ANGELES — The No. 2 USC women's golf team kicks off its spring season by taking on the No. 23 UCLA Bruins in the Battle of LA, held at the Rancho La Quinta Country Club in La Quinta, Calif. on Friday, Jan. 23.
The Battle of LA will be a one-round, match-play style event starting at 8 a.m. PT. If available, a link to live scoring will be provided on the women's golf team's schedule page on usctrojans.com.
USC has won the last two match play events against UCLA. Last year, the Trojans beat the Bruins 3-2 in the East Lake Cup before winning the Battle for the Bell 3.5-1.5. USC brings back three players — Catherine Park, Kylie Chong and Bailey Shoemaker — from last year's Battle for the Bell lineup.
The Trojans are 1-1 in match play events this year after splitting a pair of matches at the East Lake Cup from Oct. 26-27.
From here, the Trojans will compete at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge, which takes place at Palos Verdes Country Club in Palos Verdes, Calif. from Feb. 1-3.
