SCOUTING THE WOLVERINES
- Michigan has been one of the most dominant teams of the season so far. The Wolverines are currently the top team in the NET and KenPom rankings, plus they are the No. 2 team in the nation. With a 12-0 record, Head Coach Dusty May's squad is one of six remaining undefeated teams in Division I.
- Despite playing six games against Quad. 1 and 2 opponents, the Wolverines have been blowing out teams, leading the nation with an average margin of victory of 30.3 points. The Wolverines' last win by single digits was a four-point win at TCU on Nov. 14.
- So far, Michigan's success can be attributed to its frontcourt, which is one of the best units in the nation. Senior forward Yaxel Lendeborg is playing like a national player of the year candidate, averaging 15.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game while making 80.4% of his two-point shots. Illinois transfer Morez Johnson Jr. averages 13.6 points and leads the team by connecting on 66.3% of his field goals. Rounding out the frontcourt, UCLA transfer Aday Mara leads the team with 8.2 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game, while averaging 10.9 points per game.
