June 04, 2025 | Men's Basketball
Ryan Cornish comes to USC from Dartmouth.
LOS ANGELES – USC Men's Basketball added another player to the roster for the 2025-26 season in Ryan Cornish, Head Coach Eric Musselman announced today.
"We are excited to welcome Ryan to our Trojan Family," Musselman said. "Ryan is a combo guard that can give us versatility at both guard spots. Ryan is coming off an exceptional season as a first-team All-Ivy League player. He is a proven scorer who can not only knock down the three-ball, but he also does an excellent job of drawing free throw attempts. Defensively, Ryan did a great job on the backboards and creating steals. He is not only a great fit on the court, but a great fit for the university."
Cornish comes to USC from Dartmouth, where he was a member of the program for four seasons. He had a standout year as a senior, starting in 23 of the 27 games he appeared in for the Big Green. The All-Ivy League First Team honoree averaged 17.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, registering double-digit points in 25 of the 27 games he appeared in, including a season-high 28 points against Cornell and Yale. The NABC All-District Second Team honoree also had three double-doubles, with his best performance coming against Penn when he contributed 24 points and 10 rebounds.
Over his four seasons with Dartmouth, Cornish became the 32nd player in Dartmouth history to earn 1,000 career points, accumulating 1,014 over his time with the Big Green. Ultimately, he averaged 11.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. This also included a stellar sophomore season, where he averaged 12.5 points and 3.8 rebounds across 24 games.
Prior to Dartmouth, Cornish played his junior and senior seasons for Sidwell Friends School where he was the runner-up for the DC Gatorade Player of the Year. The Potomac, Maryland, native was an All-Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference First Team honoree while also earning All-State Second Team accolades. He also played his sophomore season at Richard Montgomery High School, where he received All-Montgomery County First Team honors.
Cornish is the ninth athlete to sign with the Trojans for the upcoming season.
