The Trojans have four regular-season matches remaining with three at Galen Center
LOS ANGELES – The third-ranked USC men's volleyball team (19-3, 7-1 MPSF) hosts 13th-ranked Stanford (9-12, 2-6) for two matches at Galen Center this weekend. With just four regular-season matches left to play, the Trojans seek to secure one of the top two seeds in the upcoming MPSF tournament when they meet the Cardinal on Friday (April 11) for a 7 p.m. PT match and again on Saturday (April 12) at 5 p.m. Both matches will be shown live on Big Ten Plus (B1G+) streams.

LAST TIME OUT: USC split a home-and-home series with eight-ranked Pepperdine. The Trojans won at home in a four-set decision behind their 18th match with .300-plus hitting as Jack Deuchar (16), Parker Tomkinson (12), and Sterling Foley (10) each poured in double-digit kills. USC also put up 11.5 blocks for their 11th match in double-digit blocks this spring led by Tomkinson's six-block night. The win was the 10th in a row for the Trojans, which marked the first double-digit win streak for the team since it won 18 in a row in 2012. In the rematch, the Waves won at home in four sets to snap USC's streak. The Trojans were without starting OH Dillon Klein as Cole Hartke (18) and Ryan Barnett (16) led the Pepperdine attack. Foley had 12 kills to lead USC and Johnny Dykstra put up 10 digs for his seventh match in double-digit digs.

POLL POSITION: The Trojans were ranked No. 7 in the AVCA Preseason Poll. In 2024, the poll expanded to 20 teams (previously 15). USC is currently ranked No. 3in the April 7 poll. The Trojans reached fifth in the coach's poll on Feb. 3 to mark their highest position since they also ranked No. 5 in 2022 (April 18). On March 10, USC's spot at No. 5 marked the 200th time the Trojans have been ranked in the AVCA Poll's top five. The Trojans' reached the top three (March 24) for the first time in over 10 years and were previously ranked as high as third on Feb. 16, 2015.
