Defending NCAA champion has top wind-legal jump in the country

JC Stevenson was named Men's Field Athlete of the for April 16-23 it was announced by the conference office today (April 23). The Trojan program has had athletes earned 13 of the first 32 Big Ten weekly honors.

Junior JC Stevenson had a jump of 26-3.75/8.02 (+1.8) to finish first among collegians and second overall in the Elite long jump competition at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 19. Stevenson's jump is tops among Big Ten athletes this season and is the top wind-legal jump in the NCAA this season.

The defending NCAA outdoor long jump champion Stevenson placed sixth in the long jump and sixth in the 60m dash at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships.

Mallard (W-Track, March 26), Yougendy Mauricette (M-Track, March 26), Brianna Selby (W-Freshman, April 16), JC Stevenson (M-Field, April 23), Max Thomas (M-Track, April 16) and Madison Whyte (W-Track, April 2 and W-Track April 16).
