2025: Set the USC program record in discus at 63.31 meters…Achieved four first-place wins in discus…Secured fourth place at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (Jun. 13) with a career-best throw and the program record, contributing a significant five points to the 41 points achieved by the men’s national champions.
2024: Had an outstanding first season as a Trojan, setting the USC freshman discus throw record with a mark of 204-6 (62.34m) at the Beach Opener on March 2, which moved him to second on USC’s all-time discus throw list, behind only the mark of 206-0 (62.78m) set by Gary Carlsen in 1967...Won the USC-UCLA Dual Meet discus throw title with a mark of 198-1 (60.39m) on April 27 and placed third in the shot put with a PR of 52-7.50 (16.04m) on April 28...Won the Pac-12 discus throw title with a mark of 192-5 (58.65m) on May 12...Earned first-team All-America honors by placing second at the NCAA Championships with a discus throw of 202-8 (61.77m), the only underclassman to score in the event...Became the first Trojan to score in the discus throw since Aaron Dan in 2010 (5th) and the first USC freshman to score in the event since Darrell Elder in 1975...Second-place finish in the event was the highest by a Trojan since Ralph Fruguglietti also placed second with a throw of 202-0 in 1977, which was the previous best mark by a Trojan in the final before Broderick’s mark...Competed at the Jamaica Championships and placed fifth with a discus throw of 201-0 (61.27m)...Did not compete during the indoor season.
HIGH SCHOOL: 2023 graduate of Jamaica College High in Kingston, Jamaica. Holds a discus throw personal best of 189-5 (57.74m), which he set in placing seventh at the Jamaican Athletics Championships on July 8, 2023...Achieved a 1.75kg discus PR of 206-6 (62.94m), which he set in winning the Boys Class One discus throw at the ISSA/ Grace Kennedy Boy’s and Girl’s Athletic Championships on March 30, 2023.. at the same competition he had a shot put (6kg) of 56-11.50 (17.36m) to place third in the event...Holds a 6K shot put PR of 58-5.25 (17.81m)...Was captain of the 2022-23 Jamaica College High team.
PERSONAL: Born on Sept. 28, 2003 in Annotto Bay, Jamaica…Hobbies include trying new things and having adventurous experiences…Favorite food is pork ribs….Worked as a tutor during high school…Someday would like to travel to Vietnam…Majoring in Real Estate Development at USC.
