Moenoa has been a member of the Trojans’ staff as an assistant coach since 2023
LOS ANGELES – The USC women's volleyball program has promoted Megan Moenoa to the position of associate head coach, head coach Brad Keller announced on Friday, April 11.
"Megan has been an integral part of our coaching staff from the moment she arrived," said Keller. "Her ability to connect to the players and foster their growth, both on and off the court, has been invaluable. Megan brings an incredible depth of knowledge, leadership, and passion to our program, and her promotion to associate head coach is a reflection of the impact she has made. We are excited for what's ahead with Megan in this role as we continue to build a championship program at USC."
With Moenoa on staff, the Women of Troy were awarded the sixth seed and made their 40th all-time appearance in the NCAA tournament in 2024. USC (22-10) defeated UT Arlington in a three-set sweep in the first round to advance to the second round for the 35th time.
Moenoa first arrived at USC as the team's volunteer assistant in March of 2023 and was elevated shortly thereafter to a full-time role in July. In her first season at USC, Moenoa helped the Trojans go 19-13 with a 12-8 mark in Pac-12 matches for a fifth-place finish.
Previously, Moenoa served as an assistant coach at UC Irvine for five years, including four as a full-time assistant (2016-19). The Anteaters won 71 matches and made two appearances in the NIVC postseason tournament while Moenoa was on staff. Moenoa also has experience as a coach with Mizuno Long Beach Volleyball Club and as the director of the Long Beach Volleyball Club Girl's program.
Moenoa is a 2015 graduate of UCLA where she earned a bachelor's degree in sociology. As a setter, she was part of the Bruins' 2011 NCAA national championship team and averaged 8.42 assists per set over her four-year career.
