Kayla Colbert Signs With NWSL's Utah Royals

LOS ANGELES – After leading the USC soccer team to a Big Ten Championship with a stellar senior season, Kayla Colbert signed a professional contract with the Utah Royals in the NWSL this week.
In 23 matches this past season, Colbert was second in points for USC earning All-Big Ten third team honors and leading the program to its first ever No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Colbert made 22 starts on the year, scoring six goals and posting five assists for 17 total points. Two of her goals and two of her assists came during the Trojans' NCAA Tournament quarterfinal run.
For her career, Colbert appeared in 59 games over her four years at USC, scoring 15 goals and providing 16 assists. She earned All-Conference honors each of her last two seasons and was named to the All-Pacific Region second team in 2023.
Colbert is the fifth graduating USC senior to sign a professional contract so far this offseason, with Brooklyn Courtnall going to the NC Courage, Helena Sampaio to BK Hacken in Sweden, Aaliyah Farmer to Tigres UANL in Mexico and Maile Hayes to Torreense SCU in Portugal.
