- USC is 9-11 against the Cardinal. The two squads battled last season at the Farm, with Stanford coming out on top 8-6.
- The Trojans last beat the Cardinal on Apr. 9, 2023, and with that win, they clinched a share of the regular-season conference title.
- This is a new ERA for both squads, as USC is in its first year with the Big Ten, while Stanford is in its first year with the ACC.
- The Women of Troy were recently picked to finish sixth out of nine squads in their inaugural Big Ten Preseason Poll. The Cardinal were picked to finish fifth in the ACC.
- USC's match-up with Stanford will be the first of its kind, as this is the first time that both teams will reside in separate conferences. The Trojans and the Cardinal were apart of the MPSF from 2013-17 and the Pac-12 from 2018-24.
- The Trojans are 8-4 in season openers and have won eight of their last nine, with the only loss coming from No. 3 Boston College on the road back in 2023.
- USC is 32-22 all-time against current ACC members.
- Lindsey Munday was selected as the U.S. Women's Sixes National Team Head Coach on Apr. 9. Munday will oversee this new version of play for the National Team, as her appointment will end in 2026. Sixes will be featured in the 2028 Olympics as lacrosse will make its Olympic debut in Los Angeles.
- The Trojans will play this season in two different venues, as they will open at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, but will play seven of their nine home games at Dignity Health Sports Park. USC will play one more game at the Coliseum, as it is set for its Big Ten opener against Johns Hopkins on Mar. 16. The Trojans will play these games off site as its new stadium is under construction. The brand-new Rawlinson Stadium is set to open in 2026.
- USC is 7-4 all-time in the Coliseum and is 0-1 when it opens its season there. The lone game that opened at the Coliseum was the Trojan's first game on record, as they lost 18-5 vs. No. 1 Northwestern.
- USC is currently ranked No. 22 in the ILWomen preseason poll.
- Senior Catherine Lord earned a spot on the preseason Tewaaraton Watch List among 50 other women.
- The Trojans Isabelle Vitale and Alexis Niblock were both selected to the USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American List, where Vitale was selected as a third team member and Niblock was honorable mention.
- Isabelle Vitale enters the season second in program history with 109 career assists. She moved into second place after her four-assist game against Villanova. The redshirt senior is 13 assists from the USC record of 122. The redshirt senior is also two goals away from 100 career goals.
- Sophomore Anna Regan will highlight the draw circle, as last season she posted 122 draw controls, which is tied for the fourth most in a single season by a Trojan.
