CROSSExamination
- The Trojans are 76-21 all-time in home games and are 3-2 at Dignity Health Sports Park since they started playing there last season.
- USC is 8-0 all-time against the Aggies and 12-2 against the Sun Devils. The Trojans posted a clean sweep of the two squads last season, as they won by a combined 17 goals.
- This is a new ERA for all three squads, as the Trojans are in their first year with the Big Ten, while UC Davis and Arizona State joined the inaugural Big 12 women's lacrosse conference.
- The Women of Troy were recently picked to finish sixth out of nine squads in their inaugural Big Ten Preseason Poll. The Sun Devils were picked to finish third, and the Aggies were picked to finish fifth in the Big 12.
- USC continues to host a tour of their former conference mates as they take on UC Davis and Arizona State. Both squads were part of the Pac-12, as the Aggies joined the conference last season and Arizona State was a consent member of the conference. The Trojans nonconference schedule this season features six games with former Pac-12 teams and two East Coast teams.
- USC is 49-10 against current Big 12 members.
- Lindsey Munday was selected as the U.S. Women's Sixes National Team Head Coach on Apr. 9. Munday will oversee this new version of play for the National Team, as her appointment will end in 2026. Sixes will be featured in the 2028 Olympics as lacrosse will make its Olympic debut in Los Angeles.
- The Trojans will play this season in two different venues, as they will open at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum but will play seven of their nine home games at Dignity Health Sports Park. USC will play one more game at the Coliseum, as it is set for its Big Ten opener against Johns Hopkins on Mar. 16. The Trojans will play these games off-site as its new stadium is under construction. The brand-new Rawlinson Stadium is set to open in 2026.
- USC is currently ranked No. 23 in the second-week edition of the IWLCA Poll.
- The Trojans earned their first Big Ten weekly honors this week, as Maddie Dora was selected as Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, and Annie Shields earned Defensive Player of the Week. Dora scored 11 goals in the weekend sweep, posting a career-high six goals against Cal. Shields racked up 19 saves over the weekend, including 12 against #21 Colorado.
- Senior Catherine Lord earned a spot on the preseason Tewaaraton Watch List among 50 other women.
- The Trojans Isabelle Vitale and Alexis Niblock were selected to the USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American List, where Vitale was chosen as a third team member, and Niblock was honorable mention.
- Isabelle Vitale enters the second game second in program history with 120 career assists. She moved into second place after her four-assist game against Villanova. The redshirt senior is two assists from the USC record of 122. Over the weekend, the redshirt senior broke the single-game record for assists with seven.
- Sophomore Anna Regan will highlight the draw circle, as last season she posted 122 draw controls, which is tied for the fourth most in a single season by a Trojan. Regan also earned her first career goal against Stanford.
- Sophomore Emma Bunting became the 34th Trojan in program history to record a hat trick as she scored four goals against Colorado over the weekend. The Trojans have three active players who have recorded hat tricks: Maddie Dora and Isabelle Vitale.
