Update on USC Men's Basketball's Rodney Rice

LOS ANGELES – During USC's win over Seton Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 25, Rodney Rice suffered an injury to his right shoulder that will require surgery and cause Rice to miss the remainder of the season, USC Men's Basketball Coach Eric Musselman announced today.
"Rodney is an instrumental part of our team," Musselman said. "He is a leader for us and has been the offensive spark that guided us through crucial games earlier this season. We will miss his energy on the court, but know his leadership will still be crucial to our team's success. We look forward to watching him attack his rehab and come back even stronger."
Rice started in all six games he played for USC and averaged 20.3 points, 6.0 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game. He recorded the second triple-double in USC basketball history with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists against Illinois State on Nov. 14. Additionally, he scored a season-high 27 points against Boise State in the first round of the Maui Invitational.
