One of his most successful seasons came with the SuperSonics as he led his team to an NBA Championship in 1979 and a second-place finish the previous season. He made the 1976 NBA All-Rookie Team, was twice selected to the NBA All-Star Game and was the 1982 NBA Comeback Player of the Year while making the All-NBA first team. He was inducted into the USC Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009.
