Â
Eight teams will compete in the three-day event. Along with host Cal, Stanford, UCLA, Denver, Fresno State, BYU, Utah, Hawai'i and the Trojans will also be on hand. The action begins at 11 a.m. each day and will be similar to NCAA Zone formatting. Â
SO FAR THIS SEASON:
USC continues to be unbeaten in dual meets this season. During the October home opener, the Trojans captured both 'dual' wins at the USC Invitational, defeating Hawaii in the process. The Women of Troy grabbed first in all four relays, while Troy claimed three out of four relays (400y medley relay, 200y free relay and 200y medley relay). USC also won a combined 12 individual events at the invite.Â
In early November, the Trojans beat former Pac-12 rival Arizona in an additional home dual. Sophomore All-American and Olympian Minna Abraham posted the fastest time in the country (at that point in the season) in the 200y freestyle, claiming the event in 1:42.01 for an NCAA A-cut.Â
Â
USC closed out fall competition at the Texas Hall of Fame Invitational, a meet that saw 35 Trojans record personal bests. At the event, Abraham won the 200y freestyle and Stanford graduate transfer Luke Maurer clocked a school record-worthy finish in the 200y IM, touching third in prelims in 1:42.57.Â
