Thirteen Women of Troy Earn ACWPC All-Academic Honors

Hannah Meyer finishes her USC career as a four-time honoree.
With 13 Trojans selected, USC women's water polo has placed half of its team on the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches' 2024 All-Academic honor roll, led by standout four-time honoree Hannah Meyer. Molly Glad, Sally McCarthy and Isabel Zimmerman have earned this distinction for the third consecutive year, while Maggie Johnson and Morgan Netherton are two-time honorees. The Trojans, representing a myriad of academic disciplines, each boast cumulative GPAs of 3.2 or higher.
Six of the Trojans – Glad, Meyer, Netherton, Zimmerman, Rachel Gazzaniga, Madison Haaland-Ford and Emma Lawson, – pursue their degrees under the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. The most represented field of study is health and human sciences.
McCarthy, Caitlin Cohen and Julia Janov all are communication majors at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
Two of the honorees, Meghan McAninch and Ava Stryker, major in real estate development at the Price School of Public Policy.
Finally, Johnson is pursuing biomedical engineering at the Viterbi School of Engineering.
Three Trojans – McAninch, Netherton and Zimmerman – earned Outstanding marks, achieved with a grade point average between 3.7 and 4.0. Eight student-athletes earned Superior, and two honorees received Excellent.

About the Association of College Water Polo Coaches:
The mission of the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches is to promote the development and advancement of collegiate water polo. This shall be accomplished by providing its membership with professional education, services, training and a united voice. Since 2005, it has been the goal of the ACWPC to bring a unified voice, abundant resources and recognition to collegiate programs across the USA. It is our hope that the ACWPC grows to include all collegiate coaches in all levels, serving to unite the collegiate water polo world to further protect and advance the sport at a time when budget cuts and sport elimination is commonplace.
