Trojans Bounce Back with 11-6 Win at ASU

USC moves to 21-23 overall and 11-9 in Pac-12 play. The Sun Devils fall to 22-22 on the year and 12-12 in conference action.
USC jumped ahead in the first, getting a two-run double from Kevin Takeuchi. The Trojans extended their lead with a four-run third, getting RBI from Dean Carpentier, Ethan Hedges and Jacob Galloway in the inning.
ASU would score single runs in the third and fifth, but USC maintained it's advantage with two in the seventh and increased the lead to 11-2 with two in the eighth. KaiKea Harrison drove one in in the seventh and Carpentier had RBI in each inning.
After an error helped extend the bottom of the eighth inning, ASU's Brandon Compton gave the home team some late life with a grand slam to center. That was it for the Sun Devils, however, as Josh Blum came out of the pen and got a fly out to left to end the inning. Blum would toss a scoreless ninth to close things out.
Will Watson got the win after tossing 5.0 strong innings in the start, giving up two runs on five hits. Fisher Johnson had a scoreless relief inning in the sixth.
