USC Men's Tennis Sweeps Regular Season Finale

The Trojans bested Utah 4-0 on the road in Salt Lake City, Utah
SALT LAKE CITY – USC men's tennis (7-15) posted a clean sweep to end the regular season, as it bested Utah (3-19) 4-0 on Sunday, Apr. 21 at George S. Eccles Tennis Center.
The Trojans rounded out the season on a high note, as they won both the doubles point and all three singles matches that finished in the dual.
USC shook up their doubles lineup which proved to be successful as they claimed the point with back to back finishes at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. The duo of junior Karl Lee and graduate student Samuel Rubell secured the win 6-4, as the No. 1 squad of junior Peter Makk and sophomore Oscar Weightman claimed their victory 6-4.
On the singles side, freshman Volodymyr Iakubenko led a strong start for the Trojans as he claimed the first set 6-0. The freshman picked up the first singles victory on court No. 4 defeating Utah's Dylan Applegate (6-0, 6-4). Junior Peter Makk claimed the second singles victory of the afternoon, taking down Ger Espin Busleiman 6-2, 6-3 on court No. 1. Senior Lodewijk Weststrate clinched the win for the Trojans on court No. 3 over Jayson Blando (6-4, 6-2).
USC takes on No. 2-seeded Arizona at the Pac-12 Tournament at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 at Libby Park in Ojai, Calif.

SINGLES
