THIS SEASON: Volodymyr Iakubenko is in his second season at USC.

HIGH SCHOOL: Iakubenko is a 2023 graduate of Laurel Springs HS in Ojai, Calif. And was previously at the Mouratoglou International School in Biot, France…Highest ITF Junior ranking was No. 52… Reached No. 1153 in ATP singles and No. 1535 in ATP doubles… Ranked No. 1 in the Ukraine for u14, u16 and u18… Reached the quarterfinals for doubles in the Australian Open…Won the 2022 J4 Budapest Singles title… Claimed five ITF Doubles titles (four in 2022; one in 2021)... A member of the u14, u16 and u18 Ukrainian National Team.
PERSONAL: Volodymyr “Vova” Iakubenko was born July 19, 2005 in Vienna, Austria… Parents are Nataliya and Volodymyr… Enjoys playing basketball and listening to music in his free time… Lists Connor McGregor as his biggest sports hero… Enjoys Mexican and Japanese cuisine… After graduation, would like to play professionally and later follow his business career path… Currently is an exploratory major.

- In singles, went 11-9 and 10-7 in dual matches.
- Played primarily at the No. 4 (6-1) position in singles.
- In doubles, played primarily with Samuel Rubell at the No. 2 (2-2) and No. 3 (2-3) positions.
- Went 2-2 against ranked singles competitors, defeating the No. 35 (Pedro Vives, TCU) and No. 123 (Alex Chang, Cal) ranked players.
- Peaked as the No. 106 player in the ITA singles rankings (Mar. 19, 2024).
- Led the Trojans by clinching three-match victories (SMU, USD and UNLV).
- Began his dual career with four straight wins at the No. 3 (1-0), No. 4 (2-0) and No. 5 (1-0) positions.
