USC Closes Road Slate At Washington Saturday

The USC Trojans (11-17, 5-12) will play at the Washington Huskies (16-13, 8-10) at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle, Wash. on March 2 at 1:00 p.m. The game will air on CBS with Andrew Catalon and Steve Lappas calling the action. USC is 3-4 in its last seven games with two of the losses coming in overtime and one being a one-possession game.

WRAPPING UP THE ROAD -- USC defeated UCLA 62-56 on Feb. 24 in Westwood, Calif. to snap a seven-game road losing streak, its longest road losing streak since falling in nine consecutive road contests in the 2015 season. USC is 2-9 in road games this season. Through games of Feb. 29, USC has played 11 road games and four neutral site contests. The 15 games away from home (4 neutral, 11 road) are tied for the most among all Power 6 schools. The 11 true road games are tied for second among Power 6 teams.

USC'S STELLAR STRETCH -- USC won a school-record 95 games over the previous four seasons (22 in 2020, 25 in 2021, 26 in 2022 and 22 in 2023). The four consecutive seasons of 20+ wins sets a school record for most consecutive 20-win seasons, breaking the mark of three consecutive seasons with 20 or more wins from 2016-18. USC's 95 total wins the last four seasons was tied for sixth-most among all Power 6 basketball programs, trailing only Kansas (111), Baylor (104), Arizona (99), UCLA (99) and Duke (97).

FACING WASHINGTON -- The Washington Huskies (16-13, 8-10) are coming off a 94-77 win vs. UCLA on Feb. 29. Forward Keion Brooks Jr. leads all Pac-12 players with a 21.3 scoring average and UW averages 81.2 points per game, second in the conference. This will be the first meeting of the season between USC and Washington. USC won both games against Washington last season and has won its last seven games against the Huskies. USC is 79-75 all-time against Washington (2 wins vacated due to NCAA penalty, original record 77-75).

ON DECK: ARIZONA STATE -- The Arizona State Sun Devils (14-15, 8-10) lost 85-67 at home vs. Arizona on Feb. 28 and is off until facing USC at the Galen Center on March 7 at 8:00 p.m. Guard Frankie Collins leads four ASU players averaging double figures in scoring with a 13.8 points per game average. USC lost 82-67 at ASU on Jan. 20, but is 7-2 in the last nine games against the Sun Devils. USC has won its last seven home games against ASU and is 61-44 all-time against the Sun Devils (2 wins vacated due to NCAA penalty, original record 63-44).

ENFIELD TIED FOR 3RD ON USC'S ALL-TIME WINS LIST -- USC head coach Andy Enfield is in his 11th season at USC and has compiled an 216-146 record. He picked up his 200th win on Feb. 4, 2023 vs. Washington and his 216th at UCLA on Feb. 24, 2024. Enfield's win total ranks tied for third on USC's all-time wins list with Bob Boyd (216), trailing only Sam Barry (260) and Forrest Twogood (251). Including his two seasons as the head coach at FGCU (2012-13), Enfield has compiled a 257-174 record.

THE OFFENSE COMING ALIVE -- USC has averaged 73.3 points in its last seven games, after averaging 62.5 points in its previous six games. USC scored 70 or more points in 14 of its first 15 games and averaged 78.9 points per game in that stretch.

FABULOUS FRESHMAN RETURNS TO ACTION -- USC freshman point guard Isaiah Collier suffered a fracture to the second metacarpal in his right hand in the game vs. Washington State on Jan. 10 and had surgery to repair it on Jan. 11 at Keck Medical Center. He returned to action at California on Feb. 7 and scored 20 points off the bench, then started and scored 18 points at Stanford on Feb. 10. He was the only Trojan to start all 16 games before suffering the injury. Collier is averaging 16.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. He is fourth in scoring average among Division I true freshmen, first in free throws attempted per game (6.3), fourth in field goal percentage (.480) and sixth in assists per game (4.2).
