LOS ANGELES – USC women's volleyball graduate outside hitter Ally Batenhorst (Houston, Texas/Seven Lakes HS) and senior setter Mia Tuaniga (Long Beach, Calif./Mater Dei HS) were each chosen in the second annual Pro Volleyball Federation collegiate draft on Monday, Nov. 25.

Batenhorst was taken by the Omaha Supernovas with the seventh pick of the second round; 15th overall. Tuaniga was selected by the Atlanta Vibe with the third pick of the fourth round; 27th overall. The league—which played its first season in the spring of 2024—is in its second season.

Last year, USC alumna Kalyah Williams was chosen with the fifth pick of the fifth round (33rd overall) by the Orlando Valkyries, where former USC associate head coach Amy Pauly serves as head coach. Former Trojan opposite hitter Brittany Abercrombie and libero Shannon Scully are each current members of the Orlando Valkyries.

Nebraska opposite hitter Merritt Beason was chosen with the top overall pick by the Atlanta Vibe. A total of 16 athletes (of 40) from Big Ten schools were chosen in the draft. 11 were from the Atlantic Coast Conference.

20th-ranked USC (19-9, 11-7 Big Ten) concludes its regular season schedule with a midweek match at Washington (19-9, 9-9) on Wednesday (Nov. 27) at Seattle's Alaska Airlines Arena. The Trojans and the Huskies will meet at 4:30 p.m. PT and be shown live on a Big Ten Plus stream. USC then hosts Iowa (10-20, 4-14) on Friday (Nov. 29) for a 7 p.m. match at Galen Center for Senior Night. The Trojans and Hawkeyes will also be shown on Big Ten Plus. Following the two matches, USC will await selection into the NCAA's postseason tournament. The field of 64 teams will be determined and announced by the NCAA committee on Sunday, Dec. 1.
